Rappahannock County High School had its graduation on Saturday morning, June 10.
Praise and honor goes out to Johnny Lee Smoot from his family and friends of Washington, known to most of the community as J. J.
During his school years he had to overcome many challenging obstacles along the way but he persisted with hard work and determination to accomplish his goals. One of those was graduating from Rappahannock County High School which he did along with his classmates on Saturday.
He will be allowed to go back next year to take some classes to determine his future interests and possible workrelated skills.
He has been attending Washington Baptist Church on a regular basis for several years and has also been playing the guitar for the Washington Baptist Church Praise and Worship Team.
Johnny is the grandson of Cordia Smoot of Washington.
