Pizza update

Everyone has been wondering when the paper would come off the windows next to The Comer Store. Andy at the Thornton River Grille asked me to tell you that he, too, will open in about two months.

A rising tide

floats all boats

The greater the number of businesses and food choices that we have in Sperryville, the greater the number of people, both residents and tourists, who will want to come here. We now have The Burger Bam, Burgers N Things, Apple Hill Bakery, and Thornton River Grille, soon to be joined by Rae’s and the pizza place. Once again, as a community, we face certain challenges to make sure that all thrive.

The Sperryville Business Alliance has plans to move forward with an updated brochure, but we need more than that. We need planned tourism and economic development that fits the Comprehensive Plan. We look both to our new supervisor and to the local community to develop that plan. An immediate need is to find creative ways to meet the need for parking on Main Street. A small group will meet to discuss that issue. Please contact me if you are interested in participating.
