In the Washington Post on June 4, 2006 it was stated, “In recent years, however, the IRS has sought to crack down on easement donation abuses, placing them on the agency’s annual dirty dozen list of tax scams.”
Will the Board of Supervisors vote against the wishes of the citizens of Rappahannock County and approve the $0.02 increase in taxes? We will have to just wait and see.
My suggestion to the citizens of Rappahannock County is to attend the public hearing on June 26, 2006, to influence the outcome.
