The Virginia Commission for Arts invites Virginia-based photographers and writers of fiction to apply for its 2006-2007 Artist Fellowships due August 1,2006.
Artist Fellowships of $5,000 are awarded annually by the Commission to recognize the creative excellence of individual Virginia artists and to support their pursuit of artistic excellence.
Artists in the disciplines of photography and fiction, who are legal residents of Virginia at the application deadline and who plan to remain in the state for the coming year, are eligible to apply for the 2006-2007 Artist Fellowship. Interested artists may obtain an application by calling the Commission (804225-3132) or by downloading forms from the Commission's web site: www.arts.virginia.gov
