The Bluemont Concert Series is proud to present The “Grandsons on Saturday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m. for the second of ten Saturday evening performances in Warrenton.
AD concerts wiH be held at the Old Shadowlawn at 70 Culpeper Street between Franklin and Lee streets, one block - south of old Warren Green in downtown Warrenton. ^ Admission is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends and -seniors, $2 for kids under 12; proceeds go to support ;Bluemonfs year round Artist-In-Education Program in area 'Schools. The Grandsons will also participate in Bluemonfs -’Healthcare Outreach Program by performing for the residents of a local healthcare facility.
Washington’s favorite party band, The Grandsons will perform their groovy, unique Americana roots blend of rhythm and blues, rockabilly, country and vintage pop. Bringing with them a pawnshop of instruments, The Grandsons feature vocahst-guitarist-trumpeter Alan MacEwen, DC blues veterjan Matthew Sedgley on drums and vocals, Chris Wailing on ^saxophones and accordion, and Eric Bowers on upright bass .*&nd vocals. I * Plan to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. A local 1 ^community group will provide homemade refreshments as a >fund raiser for its programs. Door prizes donated by local mer.s (chants will be awarded during the intermission. Pets, alcohol 'aand smoking are prohibited at aD Bluemont events. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Taylor Middle , • School auditorium.
