July 4th celebration
On July 4th gates open at 4 p.m. (rain date July 5) at Great Meadow, at The Plains between Middleburg and Warrenton, 1-66 Exit #31. Admission is $30 per car in advance (higher at the gate). Remember to drink lots of fluids — water or juice are best—the day before, and the day of, the blood drive. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and fatty foods. To give blood, you must be generally healthy, 17 years of age or more, and weigh at least 110 pounds.
