New officers
The Washington Hospitality and Visitors Association voted in a new slate of officers at their Sunday meeting. Gary Schwartz was named president, Phil Irvin will serve as vicepresident, Jay Brown will take on the responsibilities of treasurer, and Joanie Ballard will continue as secretary.
Repairs near
Milepost 64
Shenandoah National Park Superintendent Chas Cartwright announced that the park will be making repairs to a damaged drainage culvert near milepost 64 along Skyline Drive. The work to repair the culvert will take place on Fridays and Saturdays for the remainder of the month of June. During the repair project, one lane of Skyline Drive will be closed.
