The community was saddened to hear that Skippy Giles of Washington has been under the weather. We’re glad to hear from his wife, Pat that he is feeling much better.
Schwartz’s returned from vacation on St. Marten island.
Gary and Michelle Schwartz, owners of the Heritage House B&B, just returned from a week on St. Marten relaxing and recharging. Jeff and Veronika Benson were also vacationing on the nearby island of Anguilla. Fortunately, they learned of each other’s plans beforehand, met at the ferry and had lunch together in Marigot.
One of their new “travel” friends is a UNO Statistics Professor and was amazed: Statistically speaking, what are the odds that, in a town of approximately 185 residents, both couples would be vacationing at the same time in the Caribbean on nearby islands and spend the afternoon together?
Gary and Michelle were able to start their vacation early thanks to Patrick and Rita Corbett, former owners of the Foster Harris House, who came to inn sit.
