Grant writing

Since 1997, Williams has worked hard in the Sheriff’s office to compete for State and Federal grants. Often times, the grant money is used to pay deputies overtime and increase the quality of Sheriff’s office equipment. Recent grants have allowed the RCSO to get mobile cameras and laptop computers for all the patrol cars, and provide overtime pay to increase highway patrol. Recently, Williams obtained a Terrorism Prevention grant that helped equip the RCSO with a Ford Expedition complete with a mobile command center cabinet.
