savings bond awards
Covington thanked Superintendent Dr. Robert Chappell and Rappahannock Bank President Mike Leake for sponsoring the program.
Leake awarded a $100 savings bond to Elena Kritter and a $50 savings bond to both Tfessa Crews and Katie Long for their efforts.
Covington recognized the RCPS science teachers Karen Ellis, Emily Roop, Karen Sanborn, Elaine Kramer, and Patti Waddell for their continued support during the science fair. “The projects this year were of a high quality,” said Covington to the students, “I hope you all learned something.”
The top 12 projects are going to advance to the regional level at the Virginia Piedmont Science Fair in March.
