Students have been going outside each day to observe and record the cloud type and temperature. Students also measure rainfall, wind speed and wind direction. Vocabulary words such as anemometer, thermometer, rain gauge, wind vane, cirrus, stratus, and cumulus are used each day as the students input weather findings.
According to Ms. Gubler, students will continue to collect data about the weather February 5-9 and enter it into the excel spreadsheets on the Palms. “The students carry the Palms outside with them and enter the data on location like real scientists!
