February 13 at 7:30 pm, come to plan for the Veteran’s Memorial. I wrote about this meeting on in January and have received several questions about this memorial. Although the plan is to locate the memorial in the Sperryville Cemetery, it is in honor of veterans in the entire county. The plan for the inscription is to be generic for all veterans. This definitely includes the Reserves. The United States Army Reserve, formed in 1908, is the federal reserve force of the United States Army. Together, the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard constitute the reserve components of the United States Army. Currently over 50 percent of the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are reserve units. There is every intent to make this memorial a recognition for all the men and women
