The supervisors accepted easements on 1,623 acres and 743 acres in the power line study corridor in December and January, respectively. Add Thursday’s requests to the mix and the board will have accepted easements for 2,726 acres in the study area.

“I don’t think of it that way,” Atherton said.
But at some point when Dominion identifies alternatives in its application to the State Corporation Commission (SCC), Fauquier “might take a second look” at accepting easements in the study corridor, Atherton said. “We’re not at that point.”
