Williams was born in Chester Gap, and continues to live in the area where his parents, “Joe” and Dorthy Williams, still live.
Williams graduated from the Rappahannock Public High School, and began his law enforcement career at the Rappahannock Jail. His wife, Leslie Williams, works as an inmate data system technician in Warren County.
William’s said that his interest continues to rest in Rappahannock County. “My loyalty is to the county,” Williams said. “You can’t get a better place to live; it’s scenic, friendly, and has a low crime rate.”
He believes that his knowledge of the inner workings of the RCSO, his current relationship with the employees and his relationship with members of the county give him the experience necessary to serve as the county’s sheriff.
