As part of its Enlighten campaign, PEC bought 1,000 MaxLite 60-watt compact fluorescent bulbs to distribute to anyone who wants them. Already, it’s given away more than 300.
PEC believes Dominion Virginia Power’s proposed, 500,000-volt transmission line through Frederick, Warren, Fauquier, Prince William and Loudoun counties would be unnecessary if the utility adopted and aggressively promoted creative solutions to satisfying Northern Virginia’s electricity needs.
