Roger Mello, principal of Rappahannock County High School, has been named principal of Eastern View High School, Culpeper’s second high school slated to be open for the fall of 2008. --. Mello’s position will be effective ^vuV 2 as he will serve an integral role ifHhe school’s formation.
"It’s a golden opportunity to be part of the founding of a new high school,” said Mello on Tuesday morning.
Mello, 42, won the position after a search committee unanimously recommended him for the position, out of 18 applicants.
Although the school w3l not be opening until 2008, Mello will be working with the Culpeper administration to form the school’s character.
