you’re curious about this concoction go check out the “Superman” ice cream flavor at Hackleys. All in all, it was a great evening of music, food and socializing. It also raised over $60 for Rappahannock County 4-H with a 50/50 raffle. If you missed this one you can grab your lawn chairs and try again next month. Watch the sign in front of Hackleys for the July date. And if I get word in time you’ll definitely get advanced notice here.

I’m just back from vacation, which is why there was no column last week. Vacations are great and seeing family is wonderful. But having just driven half way across the country and back it’d be hard to find a prettier place than the one we live in here in Rappahannock. It’s great to be back home and I’m looking forward to hearing all the local Amissville news now that I’m back! Call or e-mail so I can get it in this column.
