Other members of the troop reflected on the lessons learned, and how much fun was had in the years of scouting they enjoyed with Matt.
Indeed a common element in both the slide show and following reflection was Matt’s cheerful, and infectious, smile, always used to good purpose, and nearly always inducing one in return.
The award was pinned on Matthew’s uniform by the troop’s scoutmasters. In a brief presentation, Matthews recognized the essential and loving role played by his parents by awarding them the Mother’s Pin and Father’s Tie Tack.
