Each year Fauquier Hospital presents the Ruth Krusie Excellence in Nursing Award to an outstanding nurse. Ruth Krusie—who worked in the Emergen^ Department until she became ill in 1986— dedicated her life to nursing. She was a mentor, a teacher, and an inspiration to everyone. Receiving this award is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of the Fauquier Hospital nursing staff.
