It’s not too early. Go ahead and mark your calendar for Headwaters’ 10th Anniversary Taste of Rappahannock on the evening of Saturday, September 8, at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville.
What better way to celebrate Headwaters’ 10th anniversary as one of the most active community organizations in Rappahannock County! Headwaters’ mission is to foster educational excellence to benefit students of our county. Net proceeds hum The Taste’ wiU help to support Headwaters programs such as the Starfish Mentoring Program, Farm-to-Table, Summer Enrichment Workshops for children, Next Step College & Career Access Programs and others.
Cole Johnson, Headwaters Executive Director, promises an exciting evening for everyone, featuring the finest foods from Rappahannock’s restaurants and farms and a sampling of award-winning wines from the county’s fine wineries.
“A silent auction has been added to this year’s program and we’ve moved our traditional live auction to later in the program,” Johnson said. “Having the live auction later in the evening will allow greater opportunity for mingling during the cocktail and social hour.”
Taste of Rappahannock CoChairs Cheri Woodard and Terri Lehman and their hard working committee are busy planning the evening, which is made possible through generous sponsorships and donations from organizations and individuals within the county and surrounding communities. Last year, more than $30,000 was raised through sponsorships alone. Woodard and Lehman and their committee hope to top last year’s generous contributions in honor of Headwaters 10th anniversary
