Folks from Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church of Sperryville will set up a table and the Hospice of Rapidan will be there to raffle off some tickets for a chance to attend a Redskins game. At $10 a piece of three for $25, this is a fantastic opportunity to support Hospice and win four tickets at the 40yd. Line. RappFLOW will have a display to help promote protection of our waterways.
You’ll be able to gobble on some funnel cakes served by members of the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. Washington’s fire and rescue folks will be selling glowin-the-dark T-shirts with a July 4th theme. By the way, you can get these T-shirts this coming Saturday. They will be on sale at the Farmers’ Coop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The band boosters will be there, supporting the high school music makers with a dunk tank, and face painting (you could treat somebody you know whose face could use some improvement), with haircuts and balloons, too. There will also be 911 emergency address signs for sale.
