work is represented in the Caulfield Gallery in Little Washington and at Berkeley Gallery on Main Street in Warrenton. In 2001 Davette was a long term substitute art teacher at Rappahannock High School. That experience, in which she worked with children and could share what she had spent her life learning, has led her into a new path. Davette is now enrolled at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg and will be there two years to complete her degree to become an art teacher.
This summer Davette will be teaching painting at a Headwaters workshop, with emphasis on water color and acrylics. She is finishing up current projects and still has time for a few more. If you need calligraphy, a sign painted, or want to explore her “calligrafitti”, call Davette at 987-8917.
