sustaining. We also need to look at how much we are spending on the pre-cooked, pre-packaged items and compare it to what we would be spending if things were homemade. We have five employees each at the High School and the Elementary School, surely someone in those two groups knows how to cook.
My boys really miss the homemade food and I am sure several others do as well. Pat Jenkins used to cook. Maybe we should work on the quality of the food we are serving, before we raise the prices of food no one wants to eat. And if Dr. Chappell wants to save the $47,000, already designated and approved by the board, is the 10-cent raise going to save that much money and what is he going to do with that money if it is saved?
The money has already been budgeted to supplement the cafeteria, are the taxpayers who have children eating at school, going to be paying again?
