Increased age for car child restraints
Children ages 8 and under must be secured in childrestraint devices, up from 5 years old. Infants up to 1 year of age must be seated in a rear-facing child-restraint system, and only in the back seat of a car if it was manufactured after Jan. 1, 1968.
