Going into the final week of regular season games in the Bull Run District, Rappahannock High School’s junior varsity team was number one and the varsity team was ranked fourth in the district. Both teams won their home games against George Mason on Friday, February 15.
The junior varsity team’s record for the season is 10-0 in district play and 13-1 overall. The JV’s ran away with the game Friday night and won by a final score of 45-19. Coach Greg Wa' ters said that every player on the team played at least six minutes against George Mason. Wayne Foster led the scoring for Rappahannock during the game with 16 points and Devin Moore and Mike Dearing tied with eight points each for second highest scorer.
