Conference On Farm Policy
A regional conference on farm policy being held Tuesday, March 5 at the Holiday Inn-Culpeper will feature speakers from Virginia Tech’s department of agricultural economics. Farmers, agribusiness managers, and leaders of farm organizations and agricultural agencies are planning to attend this conference. The registration fee is $7.00.
Conference subjects include issues in making agriculture marketoriented; proposed adjustments in feedp-ain, soybean, and dairy programs; commodity programs and nonpoint pollution of the Chesapeake Bay; linkages between farm policy and world trade; and Virginia’s farm economy examined in a comparative advantage framework.
