Books for purchase Or borrowing are now available from the Rappahannock County Library for the new book discussion series, “Growing Up in the South,” which begins March 11. The series, to be held every other Monday evening at 7:30, explores the autobiographical works, both non-fiction and fiction, of five outstanding Southern writers.
Those who wish to purchase four of the five books in the series may do so for $12.50, or books may be purchased separately. The library also has multiple copies of all five books for borrowing, including a large number of Eudora Welty’s One Writer's Beginnings, the only book not available for purchase.
Those who wish to attend the book discussion series are urged to register as soon as possible at the library. The programs are free to the public, under the sponsorship of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
