Actually, it wasn’t just the young men who flipped, it was everybody: mothers, fathers, daughters, sisters, uncles, aunts, and grandparents - everybody! The whole town turned upside down.

This tale is true, and it begins with an almost legendary woman named Miss Charlotte Haxall Noland who, in 1914, founded Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Va. Miss Charlotte, as she was known to students, presided as headmaster of the school into the 1950’s.
