Whether or not the girls behaved “very properly,” as Miss Charlotte warned them to, no one knows for sure. One girl, however, left a clue behind in a selection from the 1939 Tallyho!, which reads: “Flint Hill spared nothing for entertainment nor did Miss Charlotte, Miss Eleanor, Miss Shookie, Miss Sue, June or Pussy.
