1 he KappahannocK j v s nave won all of their last five games since January 29 when they won 31-22 against Strasburg. Walter Frye, Richard Tribino and Butch Foster each had six points during that game. Coach Waters said that the last time the two teams played, Strasburg had scored 45 points.
On February 4, the JV’s defeated Wakefield by a score of 49 to 14, and Wakefield’s David Rowzie scored all 14 points on foul shots. Thomas Williams and Mike Dearing tied with eight points for Rappahannock’s lead scorer honors.
Rappahannock played Clarke County on February 8, and won by a score of 36-11. “Clarke also scored 30 points last time we played, but only scored four baskets in this game and two were made by a former varsity player,” Coach Waters said.
The team returned to their home court on February 14 to play Page County. That game ended with Rappahannock having scored 46 points and Page, 19. “Page’s record was 10-1, and they are in second place in the district,” said Coach Waters. During that
