know, advertising sales alone determine the number of pages in the paper. If we sell few ads, we have few pages in the paper. There is nothing we can do about that — except try to sell more ads.
Soon sports coverage should pickup, as we move into a time of year when ad sales themselves pickup.
As another remedy for too little sports coverage, we encourage interested students to volunteer their time to cover sporting events for the Rappahannock Sen's. To write for the paper is good training, a service to the community, and an easy way to get published. It’s fun, and it looks nice on a resume.
To be fair, we must repeat that students would have to volunteer their time. Also, we cannot guarantee that every article written would get into the paper, but it is safe to say that most would.
