Rappahannock won against Wakefield, 67-42, on February 4. Tommy Jenkins had 17 points for the night, and Jeff Porter had 13. Russell Rowzie scored 19 points for Wakefield. “I played everyone during that game, and we played good defense,” Coach Dawson said. “That game started a defensive run for us since we haven’t allowed over 55 points to be scored against us in our last games.”

The varsity team also won against Clarke County by a score of 44-43 on February S. “That was our biggest win of the season so far because they are the second place team in the district,” Coach Dawson said. “It was the first game we won against a top caliber team.” Godfrey Freeman sunk the winning basket with 30 seconds left in the game. Robb Brown scored 15 points and Jeff Porter scored 14.
