Recently we have heard many complaints from both parents and students about our coverage of Rappahannock High School sports. It is obvious that many people would appreciate more sports coverage in the Rappahannock News.

So as not to begin with excuses, we want to assure all concerned that we, too, would like to see more sports in the paper.

We realize the significance of school athletics and the source of interest and pride that our home teams furnish the community. We feel not only obliged but honored to carry the s oorts.

Therefore, our goal is to fit into the paper as much sports coverage as we possibly can.

The problem is, space limitations sometimes prevent us from using enough sports news and pictures

The papers have been short during the past few weeks, a few of them no longer than 10 pages. This is typical for the time of year, and it does limit our sports coverage.
