On Wednesday, February 13, the seventh and eighth grade students at Wakefield School in Huntly participated in the annual Virginia Mathematics League Contest. The 30 minute tests' consisted of 40 math problems of various types. The top five scores from each grade comprise the team scores that were submitted as Wakefield’s entries in the state-wide contest. The following students comprise this year’s teams:
Seventh grade--Christopher Butler of Marshall, Bjorn Linholm of Nokesville, Candice Kobetz of Berryville, John Viega of Front Royal and Sharon Homg of Luray.
Eighth grade-Aaron Barbour of Manassas, Tobias Dengel of Front Royal, Robert Roberts of Nokesville, Michael King of Midland and Morgan Andreae of Bentonville
