The SPTA also discussed the need for a good public address system in the elemetnary school gymnasium/auditorium. Several SPTA members will be talking with people who have technological expertise in sound systems and will report back with Mrs. Piper, the elementary school principal. Mrs. Piper expressed concern that equipment was badly needed for individual speaker use, as well as for performances and events like the Sock Hop.
The next SPTA meeting is on Thursday, March 21st, at 7:30 p.m. Meetings are always held on the third Thursday of the month. RCES parents are encouraged to attend; an increased level of participation is needed in order for the SPTA to make good headway on projects and fundraisers during the remainder of the school year.
