RCHS surveys grads

Rappahannock County High school officials are attempting to contact, or “get re-acquainted with” its recent graduates.

The school will be sending survey forms to graduates within the last 10 years — from the Class of 1975 to the Class of ’85 — who have verifiable addresses.

Ths school urges graduates prior to 1975 to contact the school to provide updated addresses.

The postcard survey will serve two purposes, according to school Principal Robert Chappell. One is to update mailing lists.

The second purpose is to determine whether a sort of homecoming can be organized.

Chappell said graduates will be polled to see if an alumni basketball night can be scheduled for Dec. 21.

“If there’s sufficient interest, we’ll probably play a ladies’ game at 7 p.m. with the tnen’s game to follow at 8 p.m.,” said Chappell.

Said Chappell: “We view the events...as sort of a homecoming.”

Graduates should be receiving those surveys sometime in November, according to Chappell.
