A public hearing to discuss a sixyear plan of secondary roads will be conducted by the state highway department on Nov. 4 it was announced during the regular monthly meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 7.
The hearing will be conducted as part of the November regular meeting which begins at 10 a.m. in the county courthouse.
In other action at their October meeting, Supervisors:
-hired a consultant to review the county’s insurance policy and recommend proposals to insure the countyowned buildings and their contents, and also asked each department head to assess the value of contents stored at the various county offices.
-learned that preliminary construction on a county animal shelter has begun. Much of the labor will be done by Rappahannock County boys enrolled at the Piedmont Technical Center. Those boys will be paid by

Rhonda D. Jenkins was named to the President’s list at Lord Fairfax Community College for the Summer Quarter 1985.
Ms. Jenkins was the only county resident to be named to the list.
A student must complete at least a 12 quarter-hour credit load and maintain a 3.2 grade point average.
