Investigation continues into
the brutal Sept. 23 slaying of a Falls Church man who was found dead behind a cabin at the Lom-Bar-Dy Restaurant, presumably beaten to death with a heavy object.
A possible suspect in the slaying was eliminated after passing a polygraph test.
Two of six young people charged with possession of marijuana pleaded guilty to the charge and a third was dismissed after prosecutors declined to try the case.
The three remaining defendants are to stand trial next month. ..
Earl Kirby was named Outstanding Conservation Farmer of the Year in Rappahannock. He operated a 300-acre farm in the F.T. Valley on Rt. 231.
