Share fair picnic All 4-H members, leaders and those interested in 4-H are encouraged to attend the district’s annual fall conference at the 4-H Center at 9 a.m. on Oct. 19. Bring your own lunch. There is a $2 charge. For reservations, call the Extension office at 675-3619.

4-H’ers’ hike All trekkers are invited to join Rappahannock, Madison and Orange County 4-H’ers in a hike at White Oak Canyon on Oct. 26. Hikers will meet at the Extension office in Washington and leave by 8:30 a.m. They will return by 4 p.m. Drivers and hikers may make reservations at the Extension office by calling 675-3619. Bring a brown bag lunch and drink. Fall auction The Amissville Fire Department will hold its fall auction on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. Donations will be greatly appreciated. Class reunion The Rappahannock High School graduating class of 1975 will hold a dinner/dance on Nov. 2 at the Flint Hill fire hall from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. For additional information, classmates are urged to call Molly Welch at 675-3425 or Kenny Pullen at 675-3091.
