Prague lay about two hours ahead, all on two-lane roads except for the last 30 miles. The first thing you notice are the large farms...all cooperative, of course, and void of fences. There were miles and miles of hay fields and miles and miles of sunflowers.
Every 10 miles or so along the highway was an army car with uniformed men in it. One finally flagged our car down and gave up a ticket to our driver for driving in the passing lane when she wasn’t passing: $10 fine right then and there.
Our hotel in Prague was built in the 30s and quite possibly hadn’t been renovated since then.
The first thing that struck you was the television cameras, such as the ones banks use here, were in every public room. It was rather disconcerting knowing that all your movements were being monitored.
Prague is known as The Golden City, and perhaps one day it was. Buildings have not been painted for years and the overall picture is one of drabness and a rather seedy charArthritis

The Arthritis Foundation has just published a book called We Can: A Guide for Parents of Children with Arthritis.
The book includes a section called “How to Keep Your Child Physically Fit and Functioning,” in which the physical aspects of arthritis such as exercise, therapy and medications are discussed.

A country auction to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department wUl be held on Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Washington Fire Hall.
