Pre-school screening offered
, The Rappahannock County Public Schools will conduct developmental screening assessments for children age five and under at RCES from Sept. 19-23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The screening is also offered to school-age children with suspected learning or developmental disorders. Parents of children whom they suspect to be developmentally delayed in crawling, walking, language, or may have problems with vision, speech or hearing, are urged to bring the child in for this free assessment. Testing takes approximately two hours. For more informaion, call the elementary school (987-8259).
Coleman will speak
Marshall Coleman, former Virginia Attorney General, will visit Rappahannock County on Thursday, Sept. 15. Mr. ■ Coleman will speak on behalf of VicePresident George Bush's presidential bid on the steps of the Courthouse at 11:15 a.m. The public is invited to attend the rally, which is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Republican Committee.
Clown for a day
Be a clown for a day: join the amateur clown competition, which will be held at the Roberts Brothers Circus, which is coming to Flint Hill on Wednesday, Sept. 21. The contest will be held during the 7:30 p.m. show. The winner will be invited to help the circus clown for the evening. All t entrants must have homemade costumes. v Face paint may be used. ,, v
