Sen. Quayle served two terms in the U. S. House of Representatives before his election to the Senate in 1980. He is currently a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Budget Committee and Labor and Human Resources Committee.

In addition to the political rally that is the highlight of the Atoka Country supper, the event includes an afternoon of bluegrass music, a country auction and a country-style barbecue chicken dinner. The supper is sponsored by the Virginia Federation of Republican women and is organized by members of the 25 Republican women’s clubs of Virginia’s 7th, 8th, and 10th congressional districts.
