Addie Virginia Wines, 85, of Chester Gap, died Sept. 12 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Wines was born Aug. 24, 1903 in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Walter and Rosa Smith Williams. She was married to the late John Franklin Wines.
Surviving are four sons, Samuel Wines, Robert Wines, Gene Wines, all of Chester Gap and Willie Wines of Front Royal; seven daughters, Bernice Williams, Odessa Campbell, Evelyn Hickerson, Patsy Roberts and Nancy Williams, all of Chester Gap, Eulice Frazier and Geneva Merchant, both of Front Royal; two brothers, Herman Williams and Stanley Williams, both of Chester Gap; one sister, Weltie Willis, Front Royal; and 35 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and seven step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. William J. Swain and the Rev. John Kenney officiating. Burial will be in the Williams family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
