Montpelier, President James Masison’s life-long home, will celebrate Constitution Day, Saturday, Sept. 17 with free tours, a community picnic, music and political candidates. Tours are scheduled every half-hour beginning at 10 a.m. Speakers and music will be presented between noon and 2 p.m.
Local organizations wishing to picnic beside Madison’s mansion may reserve picnic space, candidates will be given free time on the old fashioned tree stumps where Madison once contemplated the Constitution* free tours of the mansion will be offered and music will accompany the festivities.
