may indicate a child is having difficulty with their vision. A child may have a vision problem if they:
• Rub eyes excessively.
• Shut or cover one eye, tilts head or thrusts head
• Has difficulty in reading or in other work requiring close use of the eyes.
• Blinks more than usual or is irritable when doing close work.
• Is unable to see distant things clearly.
• Squints eyelids together or frowns.
Mr. Carlomagno concluded, “If untreated, amblyopia can lead to blindness in the affected eye. If the situation is detected early enough though, it can usually be treated and corrected. Children don’t know what they should see, only what they can.” Is your child seeing as well as he should?
