Cook bacon slices slowly until brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Put onion, garlic and celery in remaining bacon grease and cook slowly, stirring, for 5 minutes. Return bacon to pan and add tomatoes.
Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in beans, parsley, salt and basil; cover and cook over low heat for about 1 hour. Stir in noodles, cook 10 minutes longer and serve. Makes 4-6 servings.
