For residents struggling with last
tax forms, Commissioner of the Revenue Beverly Atkins is offering assistance. Mrs. Atkins and her staff will be available to answer questions about state i ncome taxes at the office, which will be open from 8a.m. until 5 p.m. each weekday through May 1, when state tax forms must be filed. Some questions may be answered by telephone, Ms. Atkins added, and residents may also call her office, (703) 675-3513, for assistance.
County stickers due May 1
Treasurer Frances Foster reminds residents that county taxes must be paid and vehicle registration cards stamped before she can issue new county stickers, which must be affixed by Tuesday, May 1. When transferring a sticker from one vehicle tQ another, the old sticker and receipt must be returned to the Treasurer's Office before a duplicate can be issued. Mrs. Foster's office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for the rest of April. For more information, call (703) 675-3334.
