Moe and Evelyn Walker attended the Regional Competition for the Sweet Adelines Incorporated in Raleigh, N.C. over the weekend. The Potomac Harmony of the Sweet Adelines Chapter in Arlington in which their daughter Joyce Walker is a member won first place out of 19 chorus’ competing.
The United Methodist Church Women met for their April meeting at the home of Candy Lamma. Members present were Mary Curtis, Gaynelle Russell, Evelyn Walker, Shelby Welch, Alice Pullen, Barbara Gentry, Mary Frances Bywaters, Linda Miller, Mary Brady, Louise McCulloch, Ardis East and Janet Eastham.
Mrs. Gladys Bowie of Culpeper was a Sunday dinner guest of her sister Mrs. Russie Miller. Christy Howell of Richmond spent a couple of days this week with her grandmother.
