Rappahannock Extension Agent Helen Smith will speak at the Amissville Health and Fitness Group on Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church. The subject will be “LowCalorie Cooking and Eating.” A covered dish luncheon will follow the discussion.

Amissville United Methodist Women will hold their monthly Spiritual Life Enrichment program at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2. On Wednesday, May 9 UMW will hold their retreat at the home of Kitty Gollaher on Rappahannock Lake. They will meet from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Mrs. Lois Settle, Mrs. Jean R. Glick of Port Republic and friend of Waynesboro entertained Mrs. Anna Fincham and Mrs. Elva Compton at The Country Cafe on Sunday in celebration of Mrs. Fincham’s and Mrs. Compton’s birthdays.

On Saturday Mrs. Anna Fincham and Mrs. Elva Compton attended the funeral for Mrs. Loring Anderson Jr., at the Free Methodist Church in Culpeper.
