This wonderful gesture in the form of a donation of $250.00 by Rev. Charles Clindinst and his church, Nethers Mill Lighthouse helps reaffirm my faith in the good will of the people of the Rappahannock community.
It is my belief that there are others who will eventually recognize our efforts and will also help to make the Ronnie Pullen Stadium a reality. A beautiful recreational facility for all the family to eryoy.

To the editor:
The article, Social Security Reserve Grows, (Rappahannock News, April 5) in which the 1989 annual report of the board of ir^tees of the social security trust fund is given, failed, in my opinion to include the most pertinent point: that by putting the funds into our U.S. Treasury, along with all the revenue our government collects, the money is actually spent of being spent.
There is only an IOU in the fund.
A kind of sleight of hand, I think, with the benefit of making our budget deficit appear less alarming than it really is.
